Artistic expression is an applied metaphor and symbolic way to "express and comprehend" the incomprehensible and often inexpressible.

Islam and its tradition offer a huge variety of artistic expressions such as poetry, calligraphy, mosaics and geometry among many others. All these expressions through art and beauty go beyond the limitation of the words and help us gasp something that otherwise could not have been expressed or transmitted without this artistic dimension. 

When observed by the right eyes or heard by the right ears, art can help us expand our awareness of Creator's omnipresence through awareness of real beauty and higher purpose as both are present in all His creations. All inspiration originates from our Lord, leading us to the conclusions that we otherwise would not have reached, facilitating our evolution on our spiritual path.
