"Ahlul Bayt" calligraphy on beechwood

This beautiful calligraphic work shows an artistic expression of the names of Prophet Muhammad (saws) household which next to himself consist of his daughter Hazrat Fatima (as), her husband and Prophet's cousin Hazrat Ali (as), and their children, Hazrat Hassan (as) and Hazrat Hussein (as).

Throughout the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad's (saws) Ahlul Bayt has been mentioned on different occasions. Some of the verses mention Ahlul Bayt by designation others by alluding or are non-specific but understood. 

The verses that refer to Ahlul Bayt by designation are to be found in surah Ali 'Imran verse 61 (3:61), surah Al-Ahzab verse 33 (33:33), surah Al-Ma'idah verse 55 (5:55).

﷽

فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ - 3:61

Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you - say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]." 3:61

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ - 5:55

Your ally is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed - those who establish prayer and give zakah, and they bow [in worship]. 5:55

وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا - 33:33

And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance. And establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification. 33:33

NB: No translation of the Holy Quran can reflect the full debts of its original revelation in Arab and always has to be considered as one of sometimes multiple meanings or ways of translating that is possible when translated in any language.
