"Shahada" statement related calligraphy

Shahada or the testimony that there is no God but Allah (swt) and that Prophet Muhammad (saws) is His messenger is the core belief of Islam.

Without this believe one could not be considered Muslim as accepting this belief opens the door to all the other core believes in Islam and therefore expressing this testimony makes it basically enough for someone to convert to Islam.

For the ones that are born into Islamic tradition, normally the calling to prayer (Adhan) and Iqamah, (recited between the Adhan and the daily prayers) had been recited in their right and left ear respectively short time after birth what initiate into the Islam and offer them spiritual protection during the early years.

As well the Adhan as the Iqamah contains the statement Ashadu an la ilaha illa'llah wa Ashad anna Muhammadan Rasululu'llah that is as well displayed on this wooden wall panel.

Only by accepting Prophet Muhammad (saws) as the messenger of Allah (swt) one and only God, we can accept the revelation from Allah (swt). As this revelation came through the messenger in form of the Quranic teachings, these being the word and message from Allah (swt), one and only God without any partner, transmitted by his messenger it is impossible to accept the message without accepting the messenger.

This panel expresses the shahada statement in a calligraphic way as the first step in the right direction on the demanding path of being a complete Muslim and pleasing our creator.
