Shahada statement Ashadu an la ilaha illa'llah wa Ashad anna Muhammadan Rasululu'llah or the testimony that there is no God but Allah (swt) and that Prophet Muhammad (saws) is His messenger is the core belief of Islam and forms the first of the five main pillars known in this religion.

Without this believe one could not be considered of being Muslim as only by acceptance of this belief opens the door to all the other core beliefs in Islam. Therefore expressing this testimony makes it basically enough for someone to convert to Islam. This ceremony is called shahadatain.

For the ones that are born into the Islamic tradition, normally the prayer calling called Adhan and Iqamah, which is normally recited between the Adhan and the daily prayers is recited in their right and left ear respectively shortly after birth. Hearing this statement at a young age is their initiation into the religion of Islam and offers them initial protection in the spiritual dimensions.  As well the Adhan as the Iqamah contains the statement that is displayed on this panel.

This means that accepting Prophet Muhammad (saws) as a messenger of Allah (swt), one and only God, we can consequentially also accept the revelation that came through him in form of the Holy Quran and start integrating its teachings following this example to the straight path.

This panel expresses this statement in a calligraphic way where we see a person doing his prayer and therefore practising the religion of Islam which is based on this testimony. Being the first step in the right direction on the demanding path of being a complete Muslim in submission to Allah (swt).

Considering this, this wall panel is a perfect gift to a new Muslim or as a beautiful reminder of this core belief that makes us a Muslim and is exclusive to Islam.
