De verzen in de Heilige Koran waar de woorden Kun Fayakun genoemd worden.

Recently the first post of this blog was made about the Islamic calligraphy on wood inspired on the words "Kun Fayakun" that are mentioned throughout the Holy Quran on different occasions.

Calligraphy is actually more a topic to be treated with in the neighbouring ART BLOG and the fact that it has been mentioned here is merely due to the enormous mystical power behind these words and their spiritual relevance to this blog.

Throughout the ages men have spend their lives chasing alchemy or the science of transmutation and due to our limited knowledge more often without than with success. As this  physical plane of existence which is among the lowest planes of the creation, this of course is not so strange when we realise that the medieval science of alchemy was more a metaphor for a spiritual transformation that the practitioner was meant to provoke within his internal being then something else.

After this initiation has been achieved, the real transformation can take place as it is obvious that there is a synergetic effect between our internal and external world and they are mutually related to each other. The main difference is that we never can have full control over the external world while this is possible to achieve over the internal world even though it is easier said than done. 

The central question of this post is not to deal with the discussion if the lower physical planes will follow the transformation happening on the higher spiritual levels or the practitioner himself would simply start seeing the lead as well the gold as just matter or different vibration of the same energy through the fact that he would have had transcended the limitations of three dimensional thinking by elevation of his own consciousness.

The central question is not even a question but a direct conclusion. True "alchemy" is just done by Allah (swt) when creating "something" from "nothing" just by saying "Kun Fayakun".

Are we as a human able to create a new matter of just mix or manipulate what already exists?  as human beings just are able to transform, move or manipulate what has been created through this process and if any creation we are able to do, it would be only within. The changes would follow in the external word our course. 

The words of strength "Kun Fayakun" are mentioned throughout of the Holy Quran on eight occasions throughout the chapters Al Baqarah, Ali’Imran, Al-An’am, An-Nahl, Maryam, Yasin and Ghafir  on eight different occasions through the Holy Quran. The specific verses are 2:117,3:47, 3:59, 6:73, 16:40, 19:35, 36:82 and 40:68.

﷽

بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 2:117

Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. 2:117

قَالَتْ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ ۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ اللَّهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 3:47

She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah ; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is.

إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ ۖ خَلَقَهُ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 3:59

Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was. 3:59

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ - 6:73

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted. 6:73

إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَيْءٍ إِذَا أَرَدْنَاهُ أَن نَّقُولَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 16:40

Indeed, Our word to a thing when We intend it is but that We say to it, "Be," and it is. 16:40

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ ۖ سُبْحَانَهُ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 19:35

It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. 19:35

إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُ إِذَا أَرَادَ شَيْئًا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 36:82

His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is. 36:82

هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ - 40:68

He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is. 40:68

Going through the verses we notice that the verses address core beliefs of Islam such Oneness of God, The Unseen world, Divine Decree and the Day of Judgement as well one of the main differences with the Christian faith such as the discussion about the position of Isa (as) which has caused many divisions between the followers of the two spiritual paths which in fact are not very far from each other on other points of view.
