Chestnut honey without any form of additives of manipulations, just pure nature.

Chestnut honey is harvested in the last part of the honey season and is one of the latest honey types of the honey season. The chestnut gives a very characteristic taste to the honey. It is one of the more exclusive honey types since its availability is less common than this is the case with Acacia or flower honey, for example. Besides, the amount of harvested honey is lower compared to some other sorts. Fortunately, the extraordinary taste of the honey compensates it all.
The chestnut honey tends to crystallize but generally a slower one than it is the case with the flower honey, due to the artisanal nature of all the products offered on Unifier.ONE the composition of the honey can be different from one jar to another, and the behaviour in terms of crystallization can vary. The bees are wild creatures, and they go where they wish. Therefore every pot will contain a slight variation of the collected nectars, and this is also one of the characteristics of natural honey.
Chestnut honey means that most present nectar that the bees had collected originates from the chestnut tree, but there will always be a small number of other nectars as well. It is precisely this synergy that can make a big difference between one honey and others. In this case, the one with a strong sense of taste will be able to discover the background presence of many other trees and fruits that nuance and amplify the flavour of chestnut. (Yummy!)
As there is no addition of sugar or any other substance to the honey you can be sure of buying pure and natural products or organic origin prepared with a lot of care and respect not only for the bees but also for the environment. The fact that this product has been produced in an entirely artisanal way and knows no additions gives it character and the respectful treatment of not only the bees but also the environment makes it an ethical product. This product originates from the rural mountain areas of Croatia where there is practically no population or pollution. These aspects form the core concept that we believe in and support by bringing something useful to the health of the people at the same time without damaging the environment.
Important note to make is that the bees survive the winter on their honey and pollen only instead of industrial sugar water. Bees surviving on sugar water are weaker, smaller and therefore more vulnerable to diseases that opens the door to the use of antibiotics. As giving sugar water to the bees conflicts with our ideas, we prefer letting nature do the work as bees need first to be healthy themselves before they can offer us something that can provide benefits to our health.
